words to live by.......

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!"

Boo Hoo!

I went to the doctors on Wednesday hoping to hear great news on my arm, because the arm has been getting stronger and I don't nearly have the intense pain, it mainly aches.  I do wake up with a stiff arm, but after 15 months and 3 surgery that is to be expected, right?  Well, the x-rays where taken and low and behold my doctors comes in and ask,"well, how have you been feeling?"  Me, "really good".  Doctor, "well, the break is not healing and we need to do surgery, again."  I guess you can imagine my surprised look......
She assures me my recovery time will be quick, because the incision will be small.  I am thinking well that's good.  The she hits me with the bomb........
They have to take the bone marrow from my hip because my body rejected the synthetic marrow they used in the last surgery!  Great, now not only will my arm hurt so will my hip!  Whats next, arm removal and installation of a bionic arm?  Well, all I can say is........no I cant say that, it isn't very nice........oh nuts!!  I am trying to look on the bright side of this, but I really can't locate one....maybe you can help me find it..............

  3. Dang Margaret...but, if THIS fixes it for good. Just a thought, have you checked the age of the Porsche your surgeon is driving???HA HA, and with all the new reality shows now, you could have a hit series on just your arm! OK, now you know why I wasn't on stage at the comedy club. Seriously though, Mom just had bone marrow removed recently and at 78 yrs old, she said it wasn't bad at all. Recovery was pretty easy for that part. So I'm hoping and praying this will be a quick recovery for you and as talented as your Dr is, tell her you will just communicate in the future with Christmas cards! xo Katie
