words to live by.......

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!"

TGIF

This is just a short blog to summarize my week......yesterday was my grand daughter Belle's 1st birthday.....Happy Birthday little girl......just love that little girl.....
I have been sewing all week, I have been working a dress for Belle, which takes me back to the time I sewed for myself and all my girls......I love sewing for my girls made me feel so blessed that God gave me such a great gift......
This was taken Easter Sunday about 16 years ago.  All made by me......well except Jay's of course.  My love for sewing started some 50 years ago, and it is one thing I have never stopped doing.  I find sewing brings me peace.  I am going to share another picture, and after this was taken Jay has only had quilts and a shirt made by me here and there.......

this was taken about 22 years ago, when I use to dress them all alike.

Anyway back to my week....beside getting my squishy done and mailed, I have a tutorial to post on Saturday, so excited it is my first!  I also made two American Doll dresses........
both the same, one for my bff's grand daughter Maggie Jo and one for Belle (this was suppose to be for Izzy, but  she wants Belle's baby to have it for her birthday.....yes I know, I know, I am just a little on the crazy side!!!!![Izzy is my AG doll])  I think it is rocking with them cowboy boots, don't you!  The pattern I use was purchased from http://www.bunnybear.com/ and the pattern is called Route 66.  I have a couple of their patterns and the instructions are wonderful.

I have also been squeezing in a couple of blocks for a couple different quilts I am working on and bees I am in.

Since my arm is pretty much mended, I just can't stop myself.........I have the need for speed.......with my sewing machine peddles....lol

and with that said, I leave you with........
