I got the call this morning my surgery has been scheduled for 7:30 am on Monday the 25th. It is the 3rd time and frankly I am scared this time more then either of the other surgeries. I am not sure why that is, maybe its because it hurts so bad, and its been over a year since I first broke it I just afraid nothing is going to change. When I go to church on Sunday, and this might sound selfish but, I am saying the rosary for me and a quick and full recovery.
Found out today that my grandson Bryce needs glasses. I think he looks awful sweet! He is such a sweet thing, you cant help but love him. He will be home from his dads August 5th I believe and I cant wait to see him. I miss him so much.
Now, Belle here is getting her first taste of baby food, she seems to like it, and that's a good thing. Now I guess I need to teach her mom that it goes in her mouth not up her nose, lol! Oh Belle cant wait to give you taste of the good stuff!! Wink Wink
So, with that said, I hope to be back here in a couple of days with some good news and feeling some better. Until then.........be kind to each other, and remember every day is a gift, cherish it.

HOT HOT HOT
Wow, this weekend has been a scorcher! Its 101 in the shade! Ouch!! We put the horses in the barn on Thursday and have keep them cool with fans. It isn't fit for man nor beast!!
This poor guy was trying to keep cool by perching on the stone on the side of the porch! I am telling you, and if you live in Missouri you know exactly what I am talking about. It's HOT!
Ok, I guess you figured by now, it's hot. I have been staying cool and staying inside, catching up on "spring" cleaning. Gosh I didn't realize I had so many magazines! The catalogs I get in the mail are just ridiculous. Hell, some of them I have never even heard of the place. So I am thinking........they could be use to start fires in the winter. Nope wont work, because they are in color and on slick pages they will gunk up the flew! So, as much as I hate to in the trash they go. Now the magazines I do read and pass them on to friends and other family members, the problem is I am about 18 months behind on at least a dozen different ones. Answer to that......I will be in the hospital for a couple of days and then home recouping....I call this Project READ MAGAZINES!! I should be able to get at least 6 months knocked out, I hope.
Now it is a week before the arm thing, so I will be very busy this week catching up on promised blocks. This will keep me very busy and my mind off of the arm thing. I am hoping down time will only be a couple of weeks so I will be as good as new by mid August! Fingers crossed and praying hard.
So, with that I leave you with:
My bff, Bonnie on the floor playing with the puppies! You see her black tank top....well it was white by time she got up, lol!

ugh!
The has been one hell of week so far........ugh! The one bright spot was
After returning from my "Pre-Op" appointment at Barnes and not really feeling so good about going through yet another surgery on my arm I got my mail and this wonderful surprise was there.....I won it from Cindy Hess of http://cinlynsworld.blogspot.com/ Down on the Farm blog. Gosh I was so excited to get it opened.......
A special thank you goes out to Cindy! Cant wait to try the Pie.......I will let you know how it turns out.
Ok, back to me being a little blue.......my arm has been causing me so much pain lately that I can't do the things I enjoy, so my quilting and sewing have been suffering! Even the easy things like holding my grandbabies have become to painful. I am praying so hard that this time I will be fixed! My surgery is on the 25th and according to doctors and nurses I have had interactions with, if and I do mean IF all goes well I should be feeling better in just a matter of weeks. Of course I also heard those words last July and then again last September. I will try to look on the bright side of all of this, but........after a year of doing this and trying that.....its hard, real hard.
My daughter Shayne and her husband Richard are coming out tomorrow, so at least I can end the week on clean sheets, lol! That has been the hardest of all chores, changing the darn bed!
I am going to keep my chin up and leave you all with:

TGIF
Ok, its Friday, we made throw one more week...........by the grace of God! The heat here has been awful! But hey by winter we will be complaining about how darn cold it is!!
We had the farrier out this week to give Amigo and Whiskers a hoofacure! Now that their feet feel better the are happy little guys. Poor Amigo's where the worse and he had the most cut off, getting old is hell I told him! The older you get the faster they grow. Ed will be back in 8 weeks for another go around! Happy hoofs makes for happy horses! :)
This is the bucket of scraps that I have been using for my civil war quilt and yes I have been back to cutting out more weeks. I have a long way to go to get caught up and be able to sit back and relax and do just that weeks block. But I am making head way I cut out weeks 11, 12, 13, 26, and 27. Tomorrow week 28 will be posted so I will cut that one out too! When I finish sewing these I will be cutting out 4 more weeks and what ever is the current week.
Lots and lots of triangles for week 26! Great colors so this is sure to be a cheery block. I am trying to get as much cutting done as I can before my surgery, just in case I wont to able to even handle scissors. Lets all keep our fingers cross that the 3rd time really is a charm! I hope my down time isn't to long.........withdraws might just get ugly!!
Well, here's hoping everyone has a good weekend and I will leave you with:
The only one missing out of this picture is Belles. This was taken in Chicago 2010. (Us girls had a great time....no boys!!)

Another hump day!
Gosh, it's hard to believe that it already the middle of the week! They say time flys when you having fun. I must be have one hell of a time, darn I wish I would have told myself......lol!!
My weekend started by Duke keeping an eye on me, you know just in case I dropped some of the goodies I was preparing for company. Well, Daisy she could have cared less, she was was to busy napping. Saturday we had family out for bar-b-que. It was really hot, so the MEN stayed inside and us LADIES sat outside and gabbed. Now that is what I call a good time. lol I love when we can talk about all the sweet things we love about our "better" halves!!
My grandson Jake was having such a good time he could have care less if his sparkler was lite or not. He is such a character he keeps me in stitches. His mommy had just put his dry clothes on and he decided he was going to splash the dogs. He was told not to get back in the pool, and he didn't. But he also didn't stay dry. Guess he will going home "naked"!! Oh to be a 2 year old, not knowing any better and really not caring either! Life is so simple at that age, God love my babies.
Grandson Garrett, granddaughter Hailey and Jake, making faces, lets see the faces they make when MawMaw gives them all some paper towels and Windex! Yeah, like that is going to happen. They grow up so fast I really don't care how many times the door has to be clean, there will come a day when I wonder where my smashed little faces and little "paw" prints went! Looking at my grandkids always brings back the memories of my own kids, gosh I never thought they would give me such wonderful gifts. (Mainly because I didn't know if they would make it out of childhood without me killing them first) How come we let our grandkids get away with the stuff we would have spanked our kids for, funny isn't it.
This was taken about 1996 and I am proud to say all of my kids have grown into wonderful adults! I look at this picture and I was wondering what the heck I was think about putting gold socks on my daughter Sami! Guess I was lucky to get her in a dress, lol. Back then I made most of my girls and my clothes. Can you believe with all the sewing I did, not one of my girls followed in my foot steps. My youngest, Madi she will make pillows and can whip you up a mean pair a jammie pants, but that's about it!
